I wouldn't want to offend anyone by artificially inflating my post totals, so I took a week or so off.
In the meantime, I ordered a couple of new tires from the Tire Rack. I've dealt with them many times in the past and always been satisfied with their price and quality. Except this time.
I ordered a couple of tires from them and their website did NOT inform me that they would be on "unknown product hold" until *after* I had placed the order, 5 days ago. Finally today I chatted with one of their custreps and was told they'd be there this Tuesday.
OK. Maybe they were out of stock.
But what bugs me is that now, almost every single time I visit a website, they have the exact same tire, model, price served in an advertisement at the top or side of the page.
I bought the tires from these people and they couldn't deliver them on time, and now when I surf the net it's almost as though they're taunting me about it. I'm having to wait an extra week to pick up what I ordered and they're sticking it in my face.
I think it's the last time I'm buying from them. The marketing department isn't talking to the fulfillment department, that's pretty clear. They just harvest the user and blast junk back at them, even if they haven't delivered the product.
