For whatever reason, that round has never turned me on. I am assuming from the video it doesn't have a detachable mag? If the only way to load it is stripper clips I would say it's DOA.
A thread was started yesterday on this thing.....you already know what "market" it will appeal to.....and who will get riled up about it slipping past the hi cap mag issues. :rolleyes:

Not something that I would be interested in but I don't live in a freedom restricted state. If it's a way around BS gun laws until they can be changed, then I'm all for it finding a market.

At first, it was interesting as a centerfire (and higher performance) alternative to the 22WMR. Ammo prices didn't lower as I hoped when the round became more popular so I lost interest. Currently, it seems one can shoot a .223 for similar or less per round cost so a lot of the goody is off the lollipop.

Like any KelTec offering, it'll sell by the truckload... And anyone who doesn't like it, isn't obligated to purchase one. But, still free to bash it relentlessly, while others are out making some rather loud noise with theirs. 
It looks more like a fun little "range toy" to me than a serious CCW option, but I've been messing around with, and loading for various 5.7's for a few years now, and definitely have no desire to be on the receiving end of one.
I'm looking forward to trying one of these out.

I'd hazard a guess that the clip loading was done because a conventional detachable mag would make the grip too big to be held easily.
Since I'm not Walter Mitty, I'll assume that 20 rounds will be enough for any situation that I'll be in.

That loading system was not designed for my arthritic thumbs.
if thats all it is good for ..."making rather loud noises" and about impossible to load.feed with ANY old arthritic or numbing hands and fingers, as I said in the other thread NOT for me , now or at any time..... hmm, kinda wonder as to just what crowd and market they keep going after, I know when they first came out I saw the folks that was asking and looking for these, as Ruger had come out with theirs...oh well(n)(n)

George Kellgren obviously isn't John Moses Browning, but he is still one of the most innovative gun designers of our generation.
If I'm not mistaken, the Ruger LCP - back in 2006+/- - was known as the Little Copy Pistol ... for a reason. Not to "dis" Ruger, but I still believe Kellgren deserves some credit for his innovations that have inspired gun manufacturers for the last several decades.
At one time, several years ago, I had at least half a dozen different KelTec firearms at a time, but now down to a single old P32 (that hasn't been shot in about 10 years. As I get older the plastic fantastics no longer give me any pleasure. Give me steel.

I have no idea about that. I actually lost my enthusiasm for plastic guns about 15 years ago, although I do still have a 2009 Kahr CW9. Other than that, it's all Ruger, S&W, Kimber, Marlin, Sig, Mossberg, Beretta and Rossi (R92's) ..... very little plastic involved.
Besides that, the Shot Show is a bit outside my self imposed 10 mile driving distance (and budget) :ROFLMAO:

I am not a Keltec fan , so wouldn't buy one.
The caliber on the other hand , I kind of like.
It is a fast , flat shooting bullet.
The only thing ( so far ) I don't like about the caliber , is the cost.

My Dad and two of my friends have the PSA 5.7 Rock made by Palmetto State Armory. They love them and I have to admit I want one. They run sales now and then for $299 to $399. They have very well-made steel 23 shot magazines. We bought a $15 magazine loader, and the mags are easy to load now. I didn't think I would ever buy a centerfire gun that I can't reload for, but I am considering this one.

I have the Ruger 57 and maybe fired one 20 rnd clip through it. I have the dies to reload it but it threw the brass so far I only found like 3 of them. ammo is still really expensive. I wish someone would would make a bolt action in that caliber, I think it would make a nice little varmint round that reloadable

Interesting kel tec makes cheap good guns I think never heard anything bad about them
I have no problem with "plastic". My Glocks are more reliable than some old all steel guns that I have fired, and even my Ruger 97, which is half plastic, is solid as can be and has never, ever had a single failure to work as intended. The lower weight of the plastic makes them great for concealed carry. I've never owned a Keltec but would certainly consider it.

I like the round for a “range toy”. I helped test the P90 bullpup for the Army back in the early ‘90’s when Test Command brought some to Fort Ord. The weapon was being looked at for non-frontline troops. It was actually accepted but none were ever fielded as far as I know. I bought an ANIB Ruger 5.7 for a song a couple of years ago, just as S&W was coming out with theirs, and just before PSA came out with the 5.7 Rock. I liked the trigger on the Ruger better than the Smith. I tried the PSA and still like the Ruger trigger best.
