I bought a Stainless Steel Ruger MK ll 4 inch from a friend. He had a extra barrel for it. AMT Lightning 8 1/2 with really nice adjustable sights, Stainless Steel. It also came with extra grips made out of wood with a thumb rest and Ruger medallions. You have to use the Ruger bolt in the AMT receiver which is flat sided and heavy tapered target barreled. Very accurate for shooting distances beyond 50 ft.

Is this a rare barrel and what is it worth today. No I don't want to sell it. The bill of sale said $110.00 and I think Ruger sued AMT to stop making these. Any info about this would be appreciated. Thanks
Craig

as noted above the AMTs ,both teh guns as well as the 'receivrs (uppers) can be found from time to time........the prices are comparable to the same "upper" style of the Ruger, seen them around $125 and as high as $200 but those will sit there...............

Thanks guys. I just happy to have the option to shoot the gun with standard barrel and have the extra target sighted long barrel.

I just picked up a 1962 standard 4 inch with a Weaver Aim Point on it. $125.
I didn't think I would like it and removed it, but didn't have a rear sight, so I reinstalled the Weaver Aim Point. When I went shooting up in the Mts. that gun hit everything I aimed at. Red Dot on the target and the bullet hits it. Only 9 shots and no lock open on last shot, so I count them. I don't want to pull the trigger on an empty chamber.
