Question about single six cylinders

Are any of the Ruger .22LR cylinders marked with the caliber?

Are all .22 mag cylinders marked as a magnum?

Are 22LR cylinders interchangeable across frames or is it hit and miss?

If miss who can do it?

No .22 LR cylinders are marked with the caliber.
.22 Mag. cylinders from late 1975 and after are rollmarked with the .22 Mag. caliber.
Most cylinders will just drop in. A few you might have to take a little off the front end.

Old Model and early New Model magnum cylinders are fluted like the 22LR so you have to look at the back of the cylinder (or through it) to tell which one it is. Another difference is the ring to clear the firing pin.
