I have had two Kirst cylinders for my Old Army for two years. Now, after nice care and oiling, both of them are turning a nice shade of Ruger Burgundy. And to make it better, my awesome three-screw frame is beginning to get the plum color too.
It was my Dad's favorite single-action, and I think it's so great that I'm going to have another Plum Ruger. I don't think that everyone is a fan of that blueing
change, but I am really a fan of Plum colored Rugers. It's just so cool that the Kirst cylinders are tinting to match the Ruger Plum Blueing. What are the odds of that happening.
