Identify marks on Single Six cylinder?

I got a smokin' deal on a stainless single six + a Bianchi Lawman holster today. I'm VERY happy with it, been wanting to get another 22lr single action since I stupidly let my last one go. In any case, this one has some marks on the cylinder. I'm wondering what causes these marks, they definitely look 'dimpled' and seem to be in line with the firing pin. Could this happen from fanning the revolver? The lockup is tight, the action feels smooth, I don't believe it's been hurt beyond cosmetic damage and I can live with that, I'm just curious.

Fanning or dropping the hammer without fully cocking to index the cylinder.
How does the firing pin look?

as said above ,they are firing pin indents from whatever 'improper' action the user,owner did....of no concern , EXCEPT for the ones that over hang the chamber edge, they can interfer with the in/out of the case rim, so should be "deburred" so the chamber is 'free & clear'...........

The other potential fanning damage is to the pawl, bolt, and cylinder bolt notches.

If, however, the lockup seems OK then you're probably good.

Some folks simply shouldn't have nice things.
