I7&1/2" bbl on blued Bisley 44mag. to 4&5/8 barrel

I'm looking to replace the 7&1/2" bbl on my blued Bisley 44mag. with a 4&5/8 barrel. Has anyone made such a modification? Where is best place to find the shorter bbl?
Also, please recommend a few good pistol-smiths.

Your barrel,if still serviceable, can be shortened and the front sight re installed or better yet a new custom front sight base and blade installed. The cost should be considerably less than a complete replacement barrel and the labor to install it.

Gee, I agree with both Chuck and medicdave.

Barrels aren't tough to change or shorten for any decent smith. However, here's some top rated guys by members, who also may have a 'take off' short barrel you want:
