How much time do you spend here?

I sprayed PB Blaster on the now-upward-facing prop shaft (prop is stuck) of the 40 Mercury,so I've done something (hopefully productive) so far today.

I bounce in and out of the house and hit the forum whenever I am near the computer. Just came in from cutting the lawn...well the front and side parts. The back can wait till it is cooler. Having a cup of dark roast and scanning the latest news.

I come in and read posts about 3 times a week.
Every once in a while I might respond but everyone knows
a lot more about firearms than I do so I just usually read.
I used to go in to the political forum but those folks are crazy in there.........

Crazy is fun. Think of it like you used to do the Sunday comics. That would still be the first part of a Sunday paper I'd read if I still took a newspaper. It's the only part that makes sense.

Well, my morning ritual is to get a tall glass of chocolate milk, go to my desk, open my emails, check my phone messages, & check out the Ruger forum & a few other places. I have a company policy that I'm always in my office at least until 9:30 am,, if I have traps out. That way, if any customer has a captured critter, they can call me & I can plan to service the trap. It helps me map out my daily route. Plus, the majority of my incoming potential new customers call me in the mornings. So, while I'm doing my daily "office work," I'm surfing here. Sometimes,,, I'm logged on a lot longer than I'm actually active, as my phone rings & I spend time with a potential customer. Sometimes I'm able to be active AND talk to a customer.
After work, it can vary. Sometimes never, sometimes an hour or so on the computer, here & other places. And on weekends it depends upon our plans for the day. Sundays is what I call my relaxation day, and I surf here, other places & in general, enjoy a bit of social media.

About 30 minutes a day always with a big cup of Folgers "Black Silk". (best coffee in my opinion)
Usually before sun rise and after sunset, when the work has not begun or ended.

This is my peaceful place where I get to exchange info with normal folk.

Here i find like minded folk, great advise and friendship.

I start my day at daylight and end at dark, outside. Being here is a blessing.

One of the pleasures of being retired is that I can sit at the computer in the morning, having my three mugs of coffee, and just surf the internet. After checking my email and Facebook (to see what my grown kids are up to), this is usually the first website I come to. In my mind the RugerForum is the best there is. I might then also check out some other gun related forums, then I switch to motorcycle related forums and then might check out Fox News and the Drudge Report. All told it is not unusual for me to spend about two hours first thing in the morning, sometimes more and sometimes less (especially when my wife starts bugging me about not wasting my whole day in front of a computer). And then, pretty much whenever I wander into the kitchen (where I keep the PC) during the day, I check out my email and a few websites, including this one. I guess if I had retired before the internet I would have gone crazy with all my free time. Now I just use the computer to get angry and keep my status up in the Curmudgeon Club of America.
