Just thinking, for some reason I'm seeing more people (in different towns and states) carrying fixed blade hunting knives on their belt. I don't do that but on my left front pocket I carry a Leatherman Wingman which has a couple of blades. In my right front pocket I have a Leatherman Micro attached to my keys which has a small blade and scissors. And, on the same pocket on a clip I carry a Buck Crosslock with a blade and a little sawblade. May be overkill so to speak just what I do, I mostly wear jeans as I'm retired and don't wear anything fancy. I use the Crosslock more than the others. What do you carry?

Buck 110 at 3:00. Tiny SAK in my watch pocket. Carried the Buck alone, for many years, but have come to realize how handy that little SAK can be.
If I desire to carry a bigger sheath knife, it replaces the Buck.

Spyderco Tenacious right front pocket and a utility type folder with a replaceable blade in the left pocket. The Spyderco for one handed emergency deployment, the utility for the 99.9% of times I actually use a knife, rope, tape, wire, box cutting etc. I also carry a Craftsman multi tool at 5 o'clock that gets more use than all the knives combined, it also has a blade but it's seldom used. These backed up by another folder or fixed blade in every vehicle, tool box, work bench, go or bug out bag I have.
I usually have a Gerber multi-tool on my belt and a Swiss army knife in my pocket.... I was planning to travel to Oregon and Portland and was tempted to carry a 'hunting' knife with me to carry on my belt but it seems their knife laws are a little on the sketchy side.... I would not even worrying about it if here in S.C. but out in a foreign state is different.

Kind of depends what I’m doing or what pair of pants I have on. As small as a mini SOG to a Benchmade with a few in between. But there’s almost always one there.
I carry a Kershaw Leek, 100% of the time. If I'm on a long hike hunting, I carry a sheath knife in addition, just to have an extra knife in case I spoil an edge. I always have multiple Leatherman Tools in my vehicles and motorcycle. They are used often, and they are loaned often.
Now where I had a lot of knives, was on my boat. There were knives at arms reach for absolutely everybody on the boat so nobody had to fiddle for their sheath knife or pocket knife while their hands were covered with fish slime. Knives for bait, knives for fishing line, knives to cut rope, and knives for food.

I have one of these that is black and has the Boy Scout emblem on it. It was given to me as a Christmas present by Troop 965 many years ago. It shows it's usage as the blades are much smaller today from much use and many sharpenings. I have others but this is in my pocket all the time.

Carrying a pocket knife, clipped or otherwise, seems to make sense for the little things that require a sharp edge like cutting the tape on a package, or cutting string, but unless your work requires it, carrying a larger blade "hunting" knife on your belt seems more than a bit weird to me. Maybe its because I've basically been a city dweller for most of my life, and when I see someone with a scabbard and blade on their belt it makes me think of "mall ninjas" or the strange types who wear a survival vest all the time. I admit that I think the same thing when I read on this forum someone who says they carry several guns with them all of the time, or those who go to great extremes to have a gun handy while they take a shower. But hey, this is still a free country, so if wearing a big knife on your belt is a daily part of your routine, go for it.

CRKT m21 clip in my pocket edc, I like it because I can open and close it one handed. I have a real nice Browning outfitter's folder, super sharp clip point, caping blade and sharp saw blade for field dressing game I keep in my possibles bag on my pistol belt. I have a Barry Dawson B98 4" fixed blade made from D2 tool steel, super sharp.
I have a bushcraft set I put together with a D2 tool steel blade 14" Kershaw bolo machete with rubber grip and a custom made 5" fixed blade D2 steel with a blade profile like a Marine Kbar and G10 scale grips, both fit into Kydex with the smaller knife sheath mounted to the bolo sheath. One of those grab and go sets I keep in the Jeep suitable for about any survival or bush craft situation. And I have a small original Marbles built high carbon boning/filet blade with stacked leather grip that is always super sharp I use mostly in the kitchen unless it is in with my field dress/elk butcher kit.
The Kershaw Bolo and custom made D2 steel set are real nice. I thought about putting more of those together as sets to sell as the maker of the 5" Kbar profile knife sells them to me for a darn reasonable price I can make money off of turning. Those D2 Kershaws have become scarce and Kershaw makes that same knife style out of cheaper steel now. Wish I could find a couple more of the D2 bladed ones. I have a box around here full of other folders like Buck 110, Case, Kershaw, stuff I got from NRA and other give aways. One of these days my grandkids will all get a nice knife unless we have to put them in the bin like the Brits.........

I carry a "flipper" utility knife in right front pocket and a multi-tool on my belt on the farm. Town carry is an 3" assisted opener in right front pocket, multi-tool in a belt pouch, and the Gerber money clip with a utility knife blade in left front pocket. Got called out on the money clip last time I went to the Federal building and the scanner went bonkers. I held it out money clip up and the rent-a-cop didn't know the diff.

My LEO son says a lot of convicted felons carry knives,,, because of the fact they can't get guns legally. He says if you see an odd looking type with a sheath knife on their belt & they look a bit out of place,,, it's highly likely they are a convicted felon.

Most of my working life I carried a Case Copperhead in addition to some species of Leatherman.
Now that I'm a retired gent I carry a Kershaw Leek, every day, right front pocket. Excellent little knife.

Normally (except in prohibited places, like the courthouse for jury duty): the tiniest Swiss Army Knife on a key ring, and a Buck 425 (1 3/4") folder for opening stuff. If I'm "around town" there's also a basic SAK with a 2 1/2" blade--it sees more "tool" use than cutting chores. And, courtesy of some weird State knife laws, it's legal in some places the smaller Buck isn't because of an "anti-lockback" mentality in the statutes. If I'll be "outdoors" (hunting, fishing, hiking, etc.) it will normally stay home, to be replaced by a larger folder (Buck 110 size) or small fixed blade on the belt. Though I have larger fixed blades, I haven't found much use for a blade over about 4" for my uses in the field. A small hatchet is usually a better choice of tool if I need something bigger.

Usually carry one: a Victorinox Swiss Army Huntsman or Climber. Rarely I will substitute a Case Jumbo Stockman.

I carry a 3" fixed blade that was made for me by a guy in Missoula by the name of D.J. Smith. It was given to me as a gift and I wear it on my left side. In my right pocket I carry a Benchmade mini-Barrage. Love that little knife with the spring assist opening. I also have a Spyderco that is carried a lot that a friend gave to me.

1 or 2 usually. I have a Frost on me right now, it has a 2 inch blade, and it is pretty handy, and unobtrusive.
Just a cheapie folding pocket clip knife. I can't stand stuff in the bottom of my front pockets so my preferred daily carry knife is a spring assist folder with a 3" modified tanto blade , and an aluminium body. It rides clipped in my back right pocket. I also prefer it to have the pocket clip up high enough that the knife rides low in the pocket so it isn't getting knocked around and hung up in my truck's seat, and is as unobtrusive as possible while still being easy to deploy with one hand. And it can't be real expensive because I use it daily and am bad about leaving it somewhere I'm working.
