How’s your weather

Ain't nothing wrong with grown up's wearing shorts, it's just different than how I was raised, that's all...Mine was more along the lines of "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things." ; 1 Cor 13:11...My folks didn't allow me much leeway in how I dressed, so I learned to conform to certain standards. But that was the culture back then. Not so much so today.

Cool days & cold nights. Down to 29-30 some mornings. Using our wood stove every night to take the chill off basement which is also my reloading room/laundry & workout room.

Mostly 70's during the day and 50's at night. A spike to the 80's for a couple of days and then back to the low 70's. Clear and breezy. In other words typical SoCal weather.
I used to wonder what the big fuss was about Cali. Then I spent a month of work there in Oct. in LA (Calabasas) Thousand Oaks Mall. And I had never seen weather like that. The luxury and opulence was quite attractive as well.
But living on the company dime and me being able to afford it myself were worlds apart. Glad I got to go.

Usmc69: we rolled into the four corners area of Iowa a week before Christmas one year. Stopped at a store and the locals were in pj pants and tee shirts talking about its gonnbe cold in the morning. It was 5 degrees at the time. We knew we were screwed. During that week It was -54 degrees. Real temp not counting wind chill. First time I saw coffee freeze mid air when you tossed it from a cup. I used to have a picture of the tv weather report with all the local temps. Nothing above -40. Had to point the torpedo at the open end of the tool trailer to unfreeze the compressor and nail guns every morning. Probably most miserable week I ever had working out in that mess. At least we never got the Lull stuck. Ground frozen like concrete.
Good times🤣🤣

Had a mild fall so far this year. Although I doubt we’ll see the high hit 40 again this year. That’s ok. We had a nice summer too. I’d love to have a winter like last year. Stayed frosty but overall not that much snow. It’s not so much fun when we get over 100” of snow, in a season, and I’ve seen plenty of times it was 120” of snow, or more.

Turned the thermostat to 'heat' a couple weeks ago. Keep the house 73° year-round. Into the 40s at night and high 50s days. It's Fall, it's supposed to get cooler...than COLD. Happens ever year.

Crocs with no holes for yardwork only. Won't be seen off my property with them. Way less feminine than Hey Dudes. Shorts for golf in the summer and swimming (rare) and that's it.

We've been putting up with 7-10 degrees above normal temps for the last 2 or 3 months here (just NW of San Antonio). Looks like the back of obnoxious temperatures might have just broken. Don

I’ve been in Jacksonville in January wearing shorts and tee shirt while the older folks were pumping gas with coats, gloves and ear muffs. It might have been in the high 50’s and I was much younger.

went for a ride sunday behind the house late morning. high twenties/low 30's am, high 40's/low 50's in the afternoon

Years ago I was checking out of the hotel in Tuscon AZ and the TV weatherman was talking about the cool weather that was due to arrive that day. He said it was only going to be in the mid 70s. I laughed and the clerk ask what was funny. I told her that mid 70s was shirt off and lay in the sun days where I was from. Weather all depends on location and what you are used to.

I wear hey dudes around the house as slippers, wouldn't own crocs on a bet

It's been dipping below 70 at night here. I've made fires in my fire pit for the last three nights.

Today will be high 60s and temps at night between 38 and 43. I don’t turn my heater on unless I’m in the house and it feels chilly so it stays off all night comes on a few minutes in the morning to knock the chill off the house and then it gets turned back off again.
Humidity is fairly low, so I call this actually the best season of the year for Louisiana. I have the same weather about April and March that makes it all worthwhile being in the south.

The temp got down to 32-F here last night. Or I should say that's what it was at 5AM-CST.
It'll be warmer for a few days, then drop again. That'll continue up until late December or January when winter is fully set in.
