Recently I acquired a partial Hi Standard pistol...with all the little pieces missing. If anyone knows anything about how to remove the slide and or how to rebuild one I would appreciate the help to see what I need and how to put it all together. What you see is all I acquired.

incredible workmanship . . . . . 👍

Looks like for $800 all in you could build a working gun worth $500! Sorry couldn't resist.

I personally, have no desire, or plans, to even attempt a rebuild on the Hi Standard. If anyone would like to have it, PM me and perhaps we can work out something.

After reading the responses I decided that it probably wasn't worth the time and $$ involved to rebuild it.
Yeah, I once had a beautiful dan wesson .357 frame and stripped cylinder given to me. All small parts missing. I just passed it along for parts too as replacing everything didn't pencil out too well. It's just so interesting when someone gives you a gun!

I agree that if you source parts from retail places,, you can often figure out the replacement parts will cost more than a complete gun.

It's the same with most mechanical devices. Especially cars.

BUT,, if you have a source for parts,, and can get them cheaply enough,,, often you can return a firearm (or car) to very usable & serviceable condition.
