help please on a load

I have a 475 linebaugh BFR with 7.5" bbl. I ordered 100 hulls and 100 bullets for it. I bought the speer 325 gr bullets and hornady hulls. I have H110, lil gun and 2400 powder on hand and was wanting a load to use on hand components if possible something in a medium load. Don't really need barn burning ammo for this pistol. I have found loads for heavier bullets but would prefer the lighter bullets in this gun mainly used for plinking with a occasional deer or hog thrown in the mix.

These loads are quoted directly from the "Lyman Pistol & Revolver Handbook" 3'rd Edition.....

Loading for 475 Linebaugh cartridge.

Using a 325 gr Jacketed HP Bullet. (OAL 1.740)

2400 powder- start 24.3-----> MAX 27.0 grs.

H110 powder - start 31.0------> MAX 32.0grs.

Lil'Gun powder - start 27.7----->MAX 30.8 grs

Speeds start at 1399 FPS with 2400 powder & go up to 1661 FPS. using H110 powder.

The Lil'Gun Powder will give you the lowest pressure of 46,400 PSI. at Maximum loading.....

I'm not sure exactly what brand of bullet Lyman was using in this data, but from the image in the book, it looks like it may be from Hornady.

That's one powerfull gun you have indeed!

Not trying to insult you as I know nothing of your reloading experience, but please be safe & remember to use the "Starting" loads & work up when developing any load....

Thanks. and just for the record I've been reloading for over 40 years and do understand your concern. I appreciate your help. I mostly reload rifle ammo and have recently started into handgun ammo loading. I load for about 35 different calibers. The 475 linebaugh just doesnt show up in any of my manuals and the only loads I could find on the internet only listed the heavy bullets for the cal. I also have the super redhawk 480 ruger that will work in the bfr also so it's a dual cal pistol that will be fun to play with.
