Hawkeye .22-250 receiver?

What receiver length/size is Hawkeye .22-250 built upon?

It is a short action. Any cartridge with an OAL less than 3" gets the short, more than 3" is the long action.

As far as I can remember, the magazine is blocked and shortened from the rear by an upside down "U" shaped piece of steel stamping and a shorter follower is used. Other than that every thing is the same as other short actions.

The follower spring might be different.
