I have always voted in every election since I was old enough,, AND have always waited until election day, NOTHING has changed for me.
Due to the potential for "lost in the mail" or "damaged in a wreck, fire etc," I've always felt a mail in ballot was too easily lost or not counted because it isn't being cast & received in a controlled manner.
I understand the necessity for the absentee voting stuff, say for our soldiers who are deployed etc.
But I've always preferred to do it as it has been done for a few centuries before the "modern" method of early voting was allowed. I fully understand how many people prefer it, and use it as a method, and I accept it as their right. But when I hear stories from the media saying things like; "55% of the registered democrats have already voted" I question the integrity of our election process. Voting, how you vote, who you vote for should NOT be subject to ANY form of media released information.
Just my opinion to do it as our forefathers did it, on election day.
So, on Tuesday, Nov 5th,, Miss Penny & I will do as we've always done. We go to the polls together, casting our vote w/o any real lines or hassles like always.
