Is the hammer spring strut the same length and shape for both a XR3 and an XR3 Red?

If you are talking OM Rugers,,, then yes. If you are into the NM's,, then maybe, maybe not. Depends upon the Lock version vs the no-lock version.

Yes they are and interchangeable between old and new models and even Bisley models. The only exception is the new model XR3 and XR3-RED grip frames with the internal lock which are shorter.
