How rare are the GP100 chambered in 44 spl to come across? Just wondering saw one at a gun show yesterday and wondering if I should run back up there and snag it,
they are asking 950.00 seems high to me let me know what you all think.

It depends on which model it is, I know the Jeff Quinn models are priced higher; after the added state extortion fees on top of regular tax that's collected here in Colorado I ended up paying ~ $850 for mine (5" barrel), but it shoots wonderfully and I'm having a ball developing loads for it!

I tend to favor a 4” stainless gun but that 5” blued version above is simply beautiful in my opinion. The proportions seem just right and that solid cylinder is the finishing touch.

I learned long ago; "You don't pay too much,, but maybe a bit too soon." And by looking at something I want,, I can often justify the expense by saying; "Will I be able to find it later AND for less money?"

Especially when I find a gun that by all appearances will be highly sought after by many, I figure; "Get it now before they are gone!"

I hope we hear whether the revolver in question is a 5 inch bbl model or not. I just absolutely love my stainless steel 5 inch GP100 in .357 caliber and I would love the one in question if it were a 5 inch bbl model.

Well I couldn't stand it so I took a gun that I really dislike a lot (beretta 25 acp and did some trading) got it for 725.00 and the trade-in. come to find out this might be a Lipsey's exclusive. Can anyone confirm this ?

You mean like the Mini 14 I passed on because of that oddball caliber 222?
Granted this was 20 years ago and they’d marked it down to $400 and still I passed.

They bring a premium here in Missouri. The GP100 is one of the finest revolvers ever made.

Or the 10/22 in .22Mag that I passed up 12 years ago because I was looking for a 10/22 in .22LR and wasn't sure I wanted to drop $175 on a rifle that I had no ammo for? 3 days later, after learning about them I went back and asked about it. Turns out they put it out for sale the day i was there and it sold that afternoon.

Not sure about the half lugs but the 5" full lugs are Lipsey's. I picked mine up when they first came out, believe I gave around $800 for it. It is one of my favorite revolvers to shoot.
