GP100 in 22LR

The new style "let" grips are cheesy. Have not had time to look the gun over close but the grips don't seem right. What is Ruger doing over there?

Biggest issue is the rubber is crap. You can see where it was poured into the mold. If you rub this area rubber flakes off like the shavings from your pencil eraser. then the wood is not fit to the grip hole very well. Looks over sanded and rounded off.

I'll have to look for some classic Lett made units for this. Maybe a compact set as it is for my kids to learn with.

Sorry to hear about poor quality grips. Doesn't surprise me though.
Hogue rubber grips are not very expensive and work well for many people.

I really like the old wood/rubber Lett grips. have them on all my other GPs. These new guns are just sub-par for the price.

I was talking to my bud and seems like GPs have always been 500 bucks so I guess Ruger has to make money some how but by putting out cheaper grips it makes them money now but it may cost them future money. I doubt I buy new again.

When you do it'll make the grips look better.
One of my welding customers just bought one and brought
it by to show me ( knowing I have one ).
His is pretty rough also, and was having double action
misfires.....what a surprise.

Saw one in a LGS just yesterday. $895 price tag is pretty steep.
