GP100 Crimson Trace Grip

I’m looking at the Crimson Trace grip for my GP100. I'm confused by what appears to be two different versions out there…one designed to accommodate the original grip wood inserts, and one that appears to be rubber with no accommodation for the inserts. I’m basing this off what appears to be the two variations I see pictured at different online retailers, but they all seem to list the same model number, LG-344. The Crimson Trace web site only shows a version with a wood insert. Does anyone know if there are two variations out there?

There is only one model, LG-344, made for the GP-100. You have the option of using your wooden inserts or the rubber ones that come with grip. I have brand new that I never installed and sold my GP-100. The buyer was not interested in them. If interested I will take $205 for them shipped Priority Mail.

Thanks for the info Charles, and the offer for the grip. What was puzzling me was the images of the LG-344 grip that are obviously of the rubber inserts that come with the grip, don’t have a visible screw holding them in place like the stock Ruger wood insert does. How do the rubber inserts fasten to the grip?

At the risk of butting in, I might be willing to purchase the CT grips if K-Loader doesn't want them.

the black "rubber" panels that come with the laser grips work identical to the original wood inserts. as much as i like the wood, i installed the black (actually plastic) on mine, as my GP is currently just a general purpose handgun with no need of fancy. i like it!

Thanks for the clarification bkgee. Not seeing the screw in the middle of the black insert made it look like a “one piece” grip.

DLH, I haven’t made a decision on whether or not to go with a Crimson grip yet. Please feel free to work with csnider on the grip he has available if you’re interested.

I think someone answered your question on how the rubber inserts are attached, but just to be certain I have mine in front of me now. There is a screw on the left hand insert that attaches to the right hand insert via a female fitting. Therefore you don't see a screw protruding as you do with the wooden inserts.

Let me know if you are interested in purchasing these as I told DLH that you are first in-line.

Thanks for the details Charlie. I'm still on the fence on going with a custom wooden grip or the Crimson. Don't hold yours on my behalf…I’m still in the “can’t make up my mind stage”.
