Crimson Trace laser grips

Can someone please tell me how to get these off a GP100?? I surely don't want to scratch the frame but can't remember the correct way to get them off. Looks like the grip panels should spread at the top to come off????

OK, I got it figured out w/o breaking or marring any parts.

Still failed with the parts swap. Any tricks as to getting the cross pin out of the GP grip frame??
A few whacks with dead blow hammer failed. Next step is hydraulic press???
