I swear, my short term memory gets worse everyday. Loaded up all my MK2 magazines yesterday. I have 10, but could only find 9. I searched everywhere for the missing mag. Nowhere to be found. Got to the range, pulled out my pistol, and danged if it wasn't in the gun (unloaded, of course)! LOL! I know what I did, I have two MK2s, and I took the mag out of the one in the safe, and thought I took it out of the one I was taking, but put it in my range bag. The others I keep in plastic containers outside the safe. Then after I load them I put them in a Midway pistol bag that has places for the magazines sewed into it. Oh well, one of the perils of getting older I reckon!

I’ve gone to the range only to realize the magazines are still at home in the safe.

One Sunday I got to the range and somebody left their AR-15… it had been there since Saturday. (I delivered it to the range manager and he got it back to the owner.)

"At least you remembered how many you had. I don’t have a clue. If one where missing I wouldn’t know."
I find mags lying around and ask myself how did THAT get HERE? Last winter while looking for some scope rings, I opened a taped up medium priority mail box and found it full of Ruger and S&W 9mm pistol magazines. I just labelled and re-taped it.

Ive lost whole guns before let alone magazines.

6 months after a fishing trip with my buddy he comes over carrying a bag. Says here, been looking for this? Inside was a Sig 10mm I had taken along to run some rounds thru it. Seems like it ended up in his fishing stuff somehow.

I once got back home and realized my pistol wasn't in my holster. I looked high and low. I finally found it in the safe where I had left it. These days I actually check before I walk out the door..

I've got 10 mags for my XD40 - who can afford to load them all? The main reason I bought the gun a few months ago was it included 1000 rounds of new ammo @ .40 each. Now people here in CA are wanting $1 a round and up.

Yeah, more than once. If not that mistake, then I forgot the ammo or brought the wrong caliber. It is only a 30 minute drive each way.

Things like that happen to me too much these days....

just about two years ago I was headed to a doctor's appointment and decided I would run by my gun club on the way home... threw some stuff in the back of my work van and headed to the appointment ... when I parked I walked around the back of the van and this is what I saw.... only thing I lost was an extension pole .... one of my luckiest days...
