:D Come one, come all! FREE GLOBAL WARMING! :D

Yesterday we had an official eighteen inches of global warming. It started
around five am and by two pm it was the official eighteen inches.

All you need to do is bring your trucks and you can have as much of it as
you want. FREE, NO LIMITS! But DO hurry! The sun is out and the
global warming is diminishing rapidly! In fact, if the sun gets any brighter,
much of it could be gone by the next scheduled storm, Saturday.

:D

What was the average for the year, more snow, less snow, or about the same? inquiring minds would like to know what the trend is. :D

We had about 30" of snow in my little corner of Southwest Virginia, deep in the Blue Ridge mountains. That's about average. But it was a warm winter, with highs in the 60s in late December 2015, into the first part of January 2016.

Back in the 1980's, I installed a fence around my yard in a blouse and levis at the end of December, because it was a NICE WARM 75-80 degrees; OH, that was Hagerstown , MD. The next year we had a blizzard with 3 ft+ of snow.

Not one flake of snow here this year but tons of rain. It didn't below freezing more then 4 or 5 times. Very decent winter.

Pat-inCo, did your power go off too? While you were getting your snow we just got our normal couple of additional feet of white global warming. So far this winter we have gotten about our normal snow and winter temperatures. On the radio it was reported that the North Front Range had a lot of power outages for a couple of days from the wet snow.

Most of the snows that we get on our ranches are dry, even powder snow, since our temperatures are always lower than yours in Ft Collins-Greeley, so we do not have wet snow problems.

Many a brief glitch, but no actual outages. I did the right thing several
years ago when I installed a UPS for the computer, and it has, I'll bet,
saved me problems there.

I was amazed when the TV said we were at 97% of normal, state wide,
for snow. I'm guessing that they are rolling in the South Half that has
been so dry. My perception is that we are a bit above normal. But then
again, I don't keep records, so it's just how my back reacts to the "global
warming" I remove from the driveway and side walks. :D

HA! Just went and looked. Our area (South Platt) is 107% and North
Platt (Steamboat) is 109%. Sounds like this getting old tells you things.
My knees tell me of approaching storms during the Summer and now my
back tells me about snow fall. . . . :D :D

:D Looks like Arizona gets water again this Summer. :D
