Who remembers the Up With People in the 70s?

Honestly, I have never heard that before. Should be played in schools every day.

Just looked it up. I was in SEA when it came out. Explains how I missed it.

One of my high school classmates toured with them for a year I think it was

When I was in 6th grade (1976) we had a Bicentennial assembly outside. The entire school sang that song and every student released a balloon that had a card attached with the reason it was released and the schools address. My balloon was retrieved by a staff worker at Hershey Park PA. That was a little over 100 miles away. They sent a huge box of candy bars to my class. Some of the balloons made it to Philly and even New York City.

I actually like Kris's rendition better.... it is one of the few songs / poems I know by heart. In fact the only other one I can recite is Poe's Eldorado..
