Honestly, I have never heard that before. Should be played in schools every day.

Just looked it up. I was in SEA when it came out. Explains how I missed it.

When I was in 6th grade (1976) we had a Bicentennial assembly outside. The entire school sang that song and every student released a balloon that had a card attached with the reason it was released and the schools address. My balloon was retrieved by a staff worker at Hershey Park PA. That was a little over 100 miles away. They sent a huge box of candy bars to my class. Some of the balloons made it to Philly and even New York City.
