Forcing cone importance?

While cleaning my Uberti Schofield .45 I noticed that the barrel doesn't have a forcing cone!
Just straight bore with rifling right up to cylinder gap.
So what is the effect on shooting without one? Seems to shoot fine.

Correction...it does have a slight one maybe .130 in length with no rifling.

As long as you've got good tight chamber alignment & you're not getting shaving & spitting, it's not a huge concern.

I came into a Uberti Old West model, really liked the gun, but upon pin gaging the cylinder, I found it had .4565" throats, which are huge for a modern gun! Now, they very faithfully copied the first Colt Single Action civilian revolvers, right down to the "pinched frame" rear sight (that only came on the first 200 or so Colt SAAs because the Army rejected them!) and the huge cylinder throats. I was hoping they also cloned the .454" groove diameter of the old Colts as well, but they used a modern barrel which is .451" in the groove measurement. Before I ever shot it the first time, I looked at the forcing cone and it was like yours, very minimal, barely even visible, I thought no way is a .456" going to go through that without shaving or spitting so I recut mine with the 11 degree cutter and it has been a flawless performer since the first shot.

You can rent the cutter kit from 4D rentals, they have a VERY well done 20min vid showing how to assemble and use the cutter. If you decide to go this route, go SLOW and check often, this cutter cuts very fast. As soon as you feel it smooth out, stop and look. Here is mine after using the cutter kit, hopefully you can see the image:

I have done a good number of custom sixguns that were carefully built so that the chambers were correctly aligned with the bore and with almost no forcing cone. So, if you have good alignment, you are OK. I have even heard of that odd sixgun that did not have such good alignment, but instead had just enough "play" that the sixgun still shot well because evidently it had enough slop to self align. Kind of interesting really.

I have also shot as well as owned a good number of customs with Taylor, and Maxi throats. Those worked quite well too. So the answer is, test test test....
