Now now, now guys,, let's not pick on CG or Kevin. If they don't want bacon,,, it does leave more for others of us who do like it.
Besides,,, some people can have medical issues with certain foods as well. Miss Penny had her gall bladder removed years ago, and since,, her tolerance for anything with too much fat or grease gives her problems.
When we get bacon, we buy a premium type. We enjoy "Wright's" bacon. And when cooking,, I make sure it's done a bit more crispy for her. Drain the grease, and use it in other dishes that need a little help with flavor or oils.
But,, the really good stuff is "homemade!" You get to trim it as you wish, and reduce the amount of fatty tissue to where a lean bacon is the end result.
But quality comes at a cost. More than the cheap market stuff.
