Well, I'm blaming flatgate and contender for this one. Had my focus on getting a few projects done finally when something I'd kinda wanted for a while presented itself. They said "do it" and well...it's on hold for me. Not big on the grip frame, but that loooong cylinder...8) 8) 8)

I like the looks of that fine RUGER 8) your right don't show up much--never seen one at a gunshow--- your right a second time :lol: a lot of guys will lead us down a buying trip on this place---but these folks know RUGERS and who tell me can find a better forum with more Ruger collectors that will sell and give you good, HONEST, opinions on guns 8)

Now Robb,,, he may want a 357 Maxi! I knew you'd be happy you got it. THose projects will still be there, but that thing won't be sold to someone who didn't truly appreciate it.

The Super grip frame works pretty good on the Maxi since the cartridge isn't as hard to handle as are it's forty plus cal. cousins.

I had a 7-1/2" Maxi for many years and I experienced lots fun shooting.

Even those of us with Ruger Collectors' harness burns after 40+ years get caught up in the mania. I had to purchase one of these from my Friend, Murphy of Tucson, this past May. Had to do it to keep the Hawkeye 256 WM company that was already guarding a 357 FT..........Was an expensive visit to my old haunts............ 8)

I'm just thankful I had the luck (and wherewithal) to gather in a pair of those before they garnered such collector interest.

Now, I do appreciate the .41 caliber, love my .41 mags actually - both Ruger and Marlin. This one however will remain a .357 max. 8) Hate seeing these get permanently changed. I've Bisley-ized my 7 1/2" max. This one...not sure. Possibly could host a spare brass Bisley grip frame that's sitting idle here. 8)

Dressing it up with things that could be reversed back to factory original isn't a bad way to enjoy one. A brass gripframe does seem to make a blued gun seem so much nicer!
