A friend of mine has an early Single-Six Flatgate that he bought new in 1954 and is looking to sell it. It has sit in the box on a shelf in the closet since he bought it and he wants it to go to a deserving home of someone who knows and appreciates Ruger firearms. It's reddish purple and absolutely beautiful. The serial number is 4125 and I will get pictures soon.

I would be interested just because it's a 1954 and I've always wanted one like that. Besides, if Golfer was born in 54 he's too old to be collecting revolvers 😃😃😃

Back to this original post, I am VERY interested in a one owner '54 flatgate.

Uhh,, Yes,, you WOULD do that!
Remember the beautiful matched pair case that I gave Flattop44? It was for a pair of 38's in DDD! He looked absolutely stunning in red velvet!!
JAYDAWG privately offered me a bag of marbles and 3 geoducks and a set of brakes for a 1992 Yugo. I told him if he threw in a pair of shoes for contender that I might consider his bid.

Just like fishing. Throw out a desirable bait,, and a few suckers will go for it!
You have seen me in action. You know I can get some good laughs. The red velvet case for Bill got the crowd going and the holster for the other Bill was another good one. The caster wheel on the end of the 12 inch holster was perfect for the short legged collector who has long barreled revolvers
