Found this on Gunbroker. The pics weren't that good and the description was a bit vague. I took a gamble and bid on it. It looks unfired. Made 1960.
Looking forward to sighting it in. Should I shoot it or keep it in its pristine state?

looks nice, and that box is actually a New model box you can even see the stamp date of 1978 on the inside of the lid, and as far as I am concerned, they are ALL shot,,,just do not ride it hard and put it away wet......(y);)
.....corrected as noted with enhanced it is 1978 ,not 73 which was the first year for the New model one piece ,foldup boxes......

Good eye Dan on the box not being the correct one. But I enlarged the picture,, and it says 1978,, not 1973.

As I said,, use with care & you will enjoy it quite a bit!

Very nice acquisition!! Enjoy the heck out of it because that's what it was made for. You can use the later style magazine in it if you change the button to the right side.
The walnut grips are great if you are right handed and I see that you have an extra set of grips with it.

Sweet, I would shoot it for sure.

I love the older ones. I have the one my Dad bought when he was in the Navy, 1957. This is the pistol I learned to shoot with.
My Dad and I still shoot it from time to time, but he prefers his little Colt Frontier revolver.
