Stainless Govt Target Model

I ran into a MKII Stainless Govt. Target Model the other day. I had never seen one in stainless before. Since I'm a stainless guy I had to have it. It doesn't show hardly any wear. I haven't shot it yet. I've been busy working on my place.
The info I could find doesn't say how many were made or when. Could anyone tell me about it. Thanks in advance.

You have a KMK678G model 0185. Nice pistol. You can enter the serial number on Ruger's website for the year shipped. Did you get the original box or any paperwork?

Box but no paper work. I do not think it is the original box. I doesn't have a label on it.

Take it out soon, you’re going to love shooting it. Clean it thoroughly first (the MKIIs can be a bit picky about carbon buildup in the bolt area), run some standard velocity ammo to start, and enjoy. It’s one of those guns that just grows on you the more you use it. Solid score, man .

I’ve got the 5 1/2 inch stainless bull barrel model. It isn’t the government model like yours but looks the same aside from barrel length.

They are great guns. I clean regularly but only take it apart for cleaning when I have too many failures.
