Factory re-blue

Just wondering if anyone here has had this service performed lately? I'm looking at a shotgun that needs reblued and their price chart says 130.00 plus 30 I think for shipping plus parts. Dont need any parts. Is 160.00 a pretty good price? Seems pretty good to me. I've always thought that Rugers had some of the best factory blueing out there.

In my experience you won't find anyone else close to that price for a quality job, and as Contender said, they "do it right." Most places will also charge a labor fee for disassembly and re-assembly of the firearm on top of the blue cost, plus the others will charge a labor fee for any polish work required. I can't say the "others" are out of line on costs because it takes a lot of time and quality labor to do it right - just that Sturm Ruger is a real bargain in this department...

if your talking about a shotgun, that is very good,,,,,, never know at some shops, we've seen them "ruin" double barrels ( sxs or o/u)
you didnlt say if it's an 'all blue' or stainless receiver/ blued barrels..........
if its ONLY the barrels, you can get it done cheaper, and as good.......even then, you could just have the factory do the barrels alone.

I had the factoy re-build a Ruger #1 for me, including a blue job and new barrel. Extremely fast turn-around time. The barrel is very accurate and the blue job is very nice. No complaints. And the cost was very reasonable.

Ruger prices are very reasonable, picked up an old beat up colt detective special for next to nothing. Fix a few minor things, Needs to be reblued and didn't have the time to do it.called colt for shits and giggles $275.00 for the re blue plus $30 ship each way and for the
