Thank You. I tried at fifty yds, with iron sights with my eyes I should have known better. I mounted a new Redfield 2x7 and will try this week. I bought a bx of 400 grn cpb to load with 4227 (22 grain) sound right?

Where did you get your load information? Hodgdon shows 21 - 25 grains for that bullet/powder combination in handguns, so you are at the bottom end of that range. You might consider loading up several different loads, from min to max, and seeing which gives the best results. Watch for signs of pressure as you work your way up. Shoot from a rest, resting on something other than the barrel, i.e., trigger guard or the butt of the grip.

Sure will. I did find a can of H110 Lyman #49 claims that 24.2 grains is the accuracy load will be in touch

H110 / W296 - one of my favorite magnum pistol powders, it always has an impressive muzzle flash. Let us know if it does the same in a rifle!

The above .40 caliber group in the #1 shoot in the #1 Group is usually just above or below 2" for 2 5 shot groups. Check the Yahoo Groups files section .

This is probably the most accurate estimate from people that actuallly compete sriously and submit targets.
