Ever eat here?

Must have been one of those places that serves what I call "French Cousin Food".... French cuisine.
This is a restaurant that serves what I consider the smallest portions imaginable.
Usually a very small piece of meat with some little doodads on top and then some colored syrup dripped all over the rest of the plate.

A restaurant in my small town that's been here over a hundred years. A few owners of course, & the last time it sold it went for big bucks. A local gathering place, tradition, & packed everyday at lunch. It's been on fire twice, but it keeps rising from the ashes.

I don't get it, as every time I eat there, I leave broke & hungry

That is hilarious! Except now I’m going to think of that every time I go out to eat.

I ate at a restaurant a couple weeks ago. French dip with onion rings. It was the saddest looking sandwich you’ve ever seen, with just 4 tiny onion rings. Pretty disappointing.

My steak story. I was a consultant/contractor for many years designing and programming situation rooms for the private sector and also Public sector including Homeland Security .

I had established a ritual that when I finished a job I would go get a steak at a good place that night and then drive/fly home the next day.

Was having a scotch and waiting for my steak and the waitress finally came and put it down with the standard warning about the plate being hot.

She said "do you need A1 sauce"?

I said "God I hope not."

She looked at me for around 2 seconds, then got it and started laughing her butt off.
