I bought this BKH44 a couple months ago and forgot to take a closer look at it until today, after reading another thread about an engraved RSSMX.
Grip frame is signed "DB" under the left panel.
Any clues as to who did the work? I have done some googling and also thumbed through Dougan's Compliments book, but no luck on the identity of DB.
The gold bands on the cylinder and on either end of the barrel are reminiscent of some of the famous engraved Rugers. The engraving appears to be well done. Kind of a "less is more" minimalist approach.
