Extremely rare Cat! If I remember correctly, all Bearcats between 1000 and 2000 were scraped except 1130 that Bill Ruger made for a friend. Only two or three in that number range are known. You have a great gun. Chet should tune in with all the facts.

The engraving on the cylinder of a Bearcat is an outstanding feature and while I realize they would be more expensive to make, I am surprised that Ruger and even other companies did not make other models (at least one other) of one of their more popular revolvers (or even one of their less popular revolvers to bring up sales) that could be engraved. There would always be someone to buy some, even in limited editions.

The 1,000 range guns went from 1000 to 1100 and also 1130 to 1137. These also have a very small serif at the top of the 1.
