Has anyone seen one of these or know if they are of any value to collectors (and what that value might be)? It's the only one like it that I've ever seen. My dad thought it might have been used to start a race at track and field meets.

It is a Sussex Armoury GT Model 2051 Starting Pistol. Made in Italy.
They also made a model 2054 DE LUXE in chrome.

The strips of blanks you have are not for this gun . They are for a ramset.
Yours is .22 caliber and has a completely different clip for the blanks.

I have no idea of a value.

Thanks very much for the info! So I'm guessing this container probably held the caps that went into this holder that slides through the opening as the trigger is pulled.
