Are the ejector rod housing's on NM Blackhawk's 45 long colt steel
or aluminum ?
If they are aluminum where can I get a steel one ?

The stainless models have steel ejector housings, but most blued ones have almuminum. I think the Super Blackhawks are an exception--I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they're all steel, whether blued or stainless. I think the anniversary model flattop blackhawks are also steel.

I'm sorry I can't help with your second question. The steel housings are out there, but I don't know the best place to get one. I'd probably start by putting a Want to Buy ad in the classifieds here at RugerForum.

I can tell you that6 you are both right. I finally got up the nerve and took the housing off. It is in fact aluminum.
Funny thing though . I call Ruger service and gave them th model # ect.
The guy I was talking to swore to me that it was steel which I thought was strange.
Thanks for your in put.

blued chrome moly steel housings have only been put on guns with blue chrome moly grip frames.
