Most of us have probably dealt with a sociopath in our lifetime.
I think sociopath is a kind word describing demon possession.
I have dealt with sociopaths several times. They do not feel remorse or compassion. Most are predators of some sort. Pleasure and control drive them.

we all have our own perception of matters. I'm guessing aside from Arthur Shawcross I've never come across someone who was deserving of "hate" and being considered a "demon", lucky me... and, even though the time to hate and opportunity was readily at my disposal to wreak revenge upon a "pos", that apparently just wasn't what I was about. At least not under those circumstances, another day, another place, another time, who knows . . . . .
now, revenge is another issue in and of itself

I have watered my brother on several occasions. I know people like contender has described and they are the lowest of the low. I have deep disdain for only 3 people and 2 of them are dead. My mother and brother went through everything that my father ever made and the only permanent thing they accomplished was killing my son by buying him a motorcycle against my wishes. He was 18 when they bought it for him and I couldn't stop him from accepting it as a gift. Karma got my brother. He was killed when he ran into a garbage truck while talking to a prostitute in the Philippines. It was 6am our time and he was getting a strip show and didn't see the garbage truck backing into a driveway.
The garbage truck company asked me if I planned to sue them and I said no but I wanted to know where to send the thank you card.
I've often thought a terminal diagnosis would be liberating.
The Day before Father’s Day my youngest Daughter drove me to the Veterans cemetery over by Dallas. Took us about an hour to find my Stepfather’s headstone. Nobody has been out there since he was put in the ground 22 years ago. Asked my Daughter to give me a minute, I bent down and Forgave him for all the Crap he did to us. I kept it dignified & Thanked him for providing for us. Glad to let that Hate go. I’m the same age now as he was when he passed
If you have spent any time in the military and haven't encountered any you truly disliked, then you were very fortunate. Mission first, but that doesn't mean I always cared for the various individuals I met, worked with or for.

I have relatives that were Russian, and others that were German. A Great Uncle served in Hitler's army and was killed in the war.
They ALL were good people. It was their country's dictator leaders that were the bad ones.
My late and great friend and mentor Chief Lyell spent 20 years in the US Navy from 1948 to 1968.
He said that he served with a Chief who almost everyone greatly disliked because he was a nitpicking prick. He always had someone on report or loss of liberty for the most trivial things.
Said Chief announced that he was retiring and said that if anyone was ever in his hometown to look him up. Someone said that they wouldn't bother and the Chief said
"You'd come to piss on my grave" to which the young sailor replied... " No Chief, when I get out of the Navy I'm never standing in line again"...
Sad but true. A good friend of mine was molested by a priest in the early 1940's. He went home and told his mother that the priest had stuck his hand in his pants and played with him. His mother slapped him in the face for lying and when his father got home he got his ass beat with the belt.
Then his parents sent him to confess to the same priest. He refused to attend church after that and he despised priests for the rest of his life.

when I was 16, and just a 6'-1' #185 country boy who previously worked on farms all summer, I started working for my father at a trucking company. I had the fun chore of doing inventory of the parts department, re-organizing, labelling, etc. Now, the guy who ran the parts department was a 3-dollar bill sort of fella. One late morning, he made the mistake of seriously coming on to me, and he promptly got his face beat like he'd just met Cassius Clay. Then I went and told my father what this pos had just pulled. My father then said, "stay here..." and headed off to find the pos. Shortly after my father came back with the pos in tow and escorted him off the property. When my father came back he said, "I was all set to beat him to a pulp, until I saw he already was...." Then he told me that the whole parts room job was mine, hmmmm, got a nice pay raise at just 16 . . . . .
I used to like most all people, until I met them. Now I don't want to meet most all people AND I don't like them.
I used to think most ALL people were pretty much the same. Just want a job they can do, to go to work, pay their own way and take care of their family.
I don't think I believe that any more. Most people are liars, cheats and thieves. The fewer I meet or have to be around, the happier I am.

Many years ago I wanted to get a new suit from a good men's shop. I'm getting the pants fitted and the tailor got a little too friendly. The 1st brush against it I ignored. The 2nd brush I punched him in the face so hard that I broke 2 knuckles.. I tore the suit pants and jacket in half and threw them on top of him. I put my clothes on and gave him a good kick in the nuts on my way out the door. I slammed the door so hard that I broke the glass and seriously contemplated going back inside to finish stomping his ass.
I didn't and it was a good thing because I was mad enough to have really hurt him worse than the punch and kick that I gave him.
Generally no. I try, and usually succeed at getting along well with others.
BUT...I worked with a guy 30 years ago that I swore I'd kill on sight if our paths ever crossed again. (After he left for another job.)
I gleefully read his obituary last year, which freed me of that obligation.

My X Wife.....not for what she did to me, but for the living hell she put my Daughters through which was all covered up by the Utah LDS community and especially a very corrupt LDS Attorney, and for what she did to my parents and my Sister. Not to mention my dog at the time. Karma has been getting back at the wench. She has a miserable life, and my Daughters/myself could not be happier about it. My youngest Daughter said she hoped she would just die....my answer was why? That would free her of her misery and piss off the devil who would now have to tolerate her.

If your car will do 120mph his will do 140mph, if you fell 500 feet and survived, he fell 600 feet and landed on his feet and walked away. One of those turds.
At work he is the prime example of F-Up Move UP.
His work sucks and somehow, he got promoted before me at which point I was sick of fixing his mistakes and told my boss that I refused to do it anymore. They actually listen to me and have only had to look a few of his designs/drawings over since then.
That was over 2 years ago, and they promised me a promotion at that time (still waiting for it) I am retiring in the next 6 months to a year so at this point it's too little too late.

Mel Brooks is a national treasure. The fact that he used a bullhorn to sing to the German troops in WW2 is priceless.
