Do you have extreme dislike for someone?

Not since I became an adult and realized:
1) People are DIFFERENT and I was not made to judge anyone.
2) I'm able to steer clear of toxic-type people.
3) I should be able to control myself and, hopefully, not be NASTY. "If it ain't nice, don't say it."
4) At my age, be happy; ATTITUDE is EVERYTHING.

I do. But not for anyone I know or ever knew. My most hated ones are politicians that don't deserve to be in office. And they are among all of the parties.
My other distain is for the 88% of Americans that don't vote. It is because of them that we have bad politicians in the first place.

yuk, "hate" is such a demonizing concept..... I've probably disliked more people than I should have or had just cause to do so. But I don't think I've ever truly hated someone. A wise old instructor many years ago pointed out to a class one day that - it's usually within our powers to make everyone we meet fall into one of three categories, i.e. a) a Friend, b) and Ally, c) an Enemy. Then he pointed out that you can't just easily make someone your friend, but that we can too often easily make someone an enemy; so, at least try to make them an ally. Always tried to work with that theory for the most part . . . . .

When I was a child I was told the Soviets were our enemies- therefore evil. It took me a while to figure out why they didn't want to be good and not evil. I now chat with Russians as often as I can. Turns out they're pretty much like us, some really good people. Way nicer than a lot of other groups.
I spent 30+ years wearing Army uniforms. That in itself should answer the OPs question.

actually, I think it begets more questions than answers ...
I visit crews on cargo ships every week. Many are Russian (and Ukrainian). When I ask about their family they warm up and we have good conversations. Yes, a lot like us.

wearing a uniform, any uniform, can easily hide or disguise a multitude of hate, prejudicious, discontent, etc. as has been my experience seeing those who mistreated people of different cultures, sexes, religions, etc., so I don't think your response really clarifies your position.... jmo
There is a registered child molester and drug dealer who I would gladly dispose of if it was up to me.
I would put him feet first in a brush chipper after I spent a couple of days tenderizing him by removing his fingernails and toenails and using a wire brush on an angle grinder.
The scumbag gave my son drugs and I have never been able to properly thank him...

I have a lot of empathy for you, seen that tragedy unfold too damn many times. But even these scumbags I don't think I truly hate. They're no more than a rabid animal that requires being put down for the good of all .... jus' say'n ...
This was over 20 years ago and the scumbag is still breathing free air. You are right about how someone like that should be removed from society permanently

I've no doubt that faced with a similar dilemma that my perspective might be drastically different . . . . it's been 44+ years (but who's counting) since I faced off with a young pos who had a .357 and caused me great bodily harm. He did not walk away unscathed but is till somewhere out in that weird state of Washington. Never lost a night's sleep thinking of what damage I did to him either. The only thing that puzzled me was, why he ever thought that I was not resolute in my own thoughts of coming out the victor.
I can't imagining hating someone but then I've never really hate any personal experience with the few evil folks out there....
Kind of like the Charleston Church shooter... I would not waste the energy hating the young man... now I would invest in a bullet to the back of his head. I still will not condone or suggest torture for anyone... just a swift disposal of the trash.

What is wrong with hate? How is it demonizing? It's a perfectly natural and beneficial emotion. The current wokeness tries to tell people hate is wrong. It isn't wrong. It is a God given emotion. And God always has a sound reason for what he has done. We just may not understand it.
I fully admit there are those I hate. There are those I would love to commit violent acts of revenge against. Am I a terrible human being? No, just a normal, average human being. Perhaps a bit more honest with myself on some things than others are.

Most folks that know me, realize I try hard to get along with everyone.
However,, I do carry a deep, burning, severe dislike for (2) people. These 2,, have invested a good part of their lives, befriending elderly people, then taking advantage of them. They have stolen estates, property & such right out from under these folks families. They have lied, cheated, & stolen from at least (4) elderly people that I have personal knowledge of. They also defrauded Social Security of quite a lot of money. (They got caught at that, & instead of jail, they had to pay back money.)
They also turned 2 boys against their own blood family. Those 4,, caused the boy's father to have a stroke. All in the name of greed.
My mother was a victim of theirs. They tried ripping off our family estate & businesses. They succeeded in parts of that. My nephews are the 2 boys mentioned. My brother was the one who had the stroke. One of the boys,, has already passed away from cancer. When they went to have the service,, NOTHING was mentioned about our side of the family. I "strongly informed" the preacher of how he was wrong to not include our side of the family.
So,, to say I strongly dislike a couple,, is a good way to describe things. If they pass prior to my passing,, I too will visit their graves to give it a very natural "watering." And if confronted with them in any illegal activities where bodily harm would be involved,, I will do all I can to defend myself.

There are predators in our society.
I don't believe the Founding Fathers of the country envisioned that problem then when they wrote the Constitution.
If they had, we would have a "take out the trash" amendment.
Perhaps that's what we need, an amendment to stop the ones destroying the country.
I find it amazing that we as a society allow Marxists professors in our universities.
