Custom Redhawk

Saw this on another forum thought I would share, I may do this to my Redhawk if it doesn't sell Wild West Guns just opened a store here recently so i may go see them. Anyone have a guess on how much for something like this.

Full custom piece done by Jim West of Wild West Guns
Barrel shortened to 4 3/4", recessed& inverted muzzle crown, ported, and slab sided
Frame lightened, refinished, round-butted, and lanyard loop installed
Cylinder polished and converted to use moon clips
Action tuned, lightened, and smoothed
Overall weight approx. 34 oz

Oh man,I love that one.I have to tell you though,it weighs way more than 34 ounces.If you mean 43 ounces....that makes sense.

I better find out what some of that work costs. Don't see the need for the full moon clips on a 44. I could really go for the rest of the work.

Sorry it doesn't do anything for me that my 4.2 inch Redhawk doesn't already do. I am not into porting, moonclips or that yellow junk. Thanks for showing. It gives us perspective.

Interesting bit of work, but not my cup of tea. My Redhawk is a 4" .44 Magnum, and a lanyard ring would be nice to have; not ported though. The one posted looks like a .44 Magnum, so I don't understand the moon clips.

Full moon clips are pretty cool.They are faster reloading than speed loaders and more compact.Speed is why they are used in competition,even in .357's.Guns like that,cut for moon clips,still can load ammo in the normal way as well.

They evidently can also machine .45 Colt calibers to also shoot .45 ACP.I'd like to get a couple done.
