Confirmed: Safariland J-S5 speedloaders DO work in Redhawk!

Do Safariland J-S5 speedloaders work in your Redhawks 44 mag?

Please, please do not post in this thread anything like "HKS works in mine" or "They work fine in my 357".
This thread is specifically about SL COMP II J-S5 as they apply to 44 Mag RH.

Prior history: I've tried HKS 29-M in RH and they did not work, even though they said "for Ruger RH, SRH" on the back.
So I do know what the packaging says and that's not what I am asking.

And this has nothing to do with the grips.

Your nomencalture is a bit mixed up.
You state that you are asking about a J-S5 speedloader but then ask again about a SL COMP II J-S5.

The J-S5 Speedloader is a COMP I deisgn like below:

This version works fine in a 44 Redhawk, I have a few of them.

A COMP II design looks like this:

Safariland does not offer a COMP II version that will fit a 44 Redhawk

Just one question - do you happen to have HKS 29-M on hand? I wonder how they compare in terms of distance from the center of the speedloader body to the center of the cartridge.

Sorry, I don't have any HKs for my Redhawk. A few for other guns, just not that one.

I run both for my 629 and when I had a RH they both worked fine in it as well.

HKS’s newer M loaders are supposed to hold the cartridges more rigidly for more exact alignment to S&Ws smaller cylinders. I’ve been happy with older HKS non-M loaders and old Safariland Comp 1s in .44 SRHs and RHs.
