Did anyone see on eBay the 6 sets of GP100 Compact grips that sold in less than 12 hours for $125 each. They flew out the door. Of course one person bought four of them. :shock:

I still can't believe I never saw on this forum that Ruger was offering the compact grips for sale on their own shopruger.com website last week. $44.95 plus $8 shipping, grip, locator, and rosewood inserts. Had the wrong picture on the website, but everyone who posted what they received got the true compacts.

Mine came in the mail from shopruger yesterday. Don't worry about the incorrect picture on the website, order them up while they're available.

I was hoping that this run might be Fancy ones made by Altamont.
They look like the regular Ruger Compacts to me.
I hope they keep them in stock in the future. We need a compact grip for the GP100.

Ruger does make these occasionally. Midway gets just the rubber part every so often for a realistic price of $10.00 or so.
Sometimes I'm a little slow I guess, but I now realize what happened there on eBay with those 6 grips that sold for $129 plus shipping. Those were the new ones like the picture above with the rosewood inserts. So I would say the seller probably paid the $50 or so and got a $80 profit. So for the 6, profit of about $480. Not bad huh?
It is someone that sells a lot of Ruger stuff, so it is always wise to double check prices.

Yep, got mine in the mail today and they ARE the compacts. Very nicely figured inserts too. Wish now I had ordered half a dozen pairs to just squirrel away! At least now I have one "extra" set.

I just got an email from Ebay. Grips are reduced 10% to $116. Better hurry.
I do not think the dirt bag has been able to sell any of the grips and relisted them. Some sellers to jack up prices for the long term will have friends bid on items and then cancel the deal. There are several on line programs that will give you an idea what items are selling for on online auctions the problem is that some buyers are stupid and trust software that can be foold by bad dealers.

The way I see it they were well below market value of what people had recently paid on ebay.

I would be happy as hell to turn a profit like that,,
and you ASSUME you know what the seller paid for them,, maybe the seller was the one that got "screwed"?

That's what the rumor mill has been since there was some video of it with the compact grips. I'm glad they are coming back and just hope no one else pays more than they need to. I do wonder if Altamont will sell a compact one now. They are probably the source for Ruger.

He is selling them for less than they were worth before Ruger re issued them, but he is selling them for way more than they are worth now. Hoping to take advantage of the people who didn't realize Ruger was selling them again. He really hasn't done anything wrong, he can't sell them if people don't bid.
