Charger takedown bi pod issue

I just brought home my Charger TD and noticed this problem
with the bipod attachment.
Placing the threaded coupler over the forearm stud, the small
threaded crosspin hole does not line up with the hole in the stud.
You cannot insert and screw in the crosspin, so no attachment for the
plate that the bipod mates to.
Hope I described that OK.
So, either the stud is embedded too deep in the stock, or the crosspin hole is drilled about a half thread too low.I suspect the stud.
I can return to Ruger, or elongate the hole in the threaded fitting, or grind the threaded attachment down the aprox 1/2 a thread so the holes align.
If the stud is too deep, that would make gun propriety to the modified fitting that would be shortened.
By the way, the bipod it the UTG style.

Should be simple enough to unscrew the stud and shim it. Get a nylon washer of the appropriate size to shim the stud. Tighten the stud until things line up. A nylon washer will be soft enough to compress a bit allowing you to get things lined up.

I agree, the stud is a bit too deep... easy fix with a washer.

I've been using the UTG bi-pods for a few years now and love the adapters, which you can buy separately.

One full turn is what it took. The bottom of the stud is about 1/32 on one side and a bit more on the other. I was screwed in probably straight but not 90 degree to the slope of the fore end.
Nylon washers tomorrow.

Wasn't sure if there was glue or epoxy involved with that stud.
It would be nice if the bipod folded with the 15 round mag in place. With the bracket mounting end toward the receiver it doesn't go. Turned around it does but the bracket sticks out past the fore end, and is just plain wrong.
Good thing I have many 10 rounders.
This gun should ship with one of those to, IMHO.

I have the same problem with my new charger except mine is not the take down model.

Was your forearm stud just screwed into the wood.
I was contemplateing eithe grinding down the coupler or backing out the forearm stud.

I really dont want to ship it back to Ruger over something so simple.

Yes, it is just screwed into the wood.
I had turn it out a full turn and now need a spacer to fill the gap.
Folks suggested a nylon washer. Haven't looked for one yet.
