Who is looking for the new Ruger SBR 22 charger model 33000? My gun dealer should have them available soon. I am starting a waiting list thread to pass info along.

SBR'd mine way back in 2015.

Where in Texas?
It might be too much of a drive for some, and for those out of state, the transfer process could be long, going from dealer to dealer then to individual.

In 2015 the pistol brace scene was very different, the only approved brace was huge and heavy and cost almost as much as the tax stamp, plus at that time a trust required no photos or fingerprints, and on-line form 1s were easy.

Today, an SBR may not make as much sense for most, even at zero additional cost.

The 33000 is the recently discontinued 8” 4938 with a pretty nice folding stock and the BX trigger added for ~$200 more MSRP. Not a bad deal, all things considered. The 33001 is the discontinued Takedown 8” (I forget the model #) for an additional $150 MSRP ($799 vs. $649). I’ll be interested to see where the online prices settle.

I’m SBRing my 4938 with a Franklin binary and a nice $80 alloy “electric airsoft” copy of one of Sig’s folders from our chief geostrategic enemy.

I’ll let you know how it works out after I receive approval. I had two stocks delivered to an out-of-state relative’s home so I don’t risk “constructive possession“ of an illegal SBR’s components while waiting on the Form 1 to clear.

You really think they look at that :poop:?

Regardless, the SBR juice just ain't worth the squeeze, IMO...

To each his own.

Sure, it’s unlikely, but given what’s happened to a few unlucky individuals in the past, I not going to FAFO.

If I want to take it out of state, I’ll either file the 5320.20, or slap a 16 inch barrel on it and take it (almost) wherever I want.
