If shooting from the bi-pod you can get away with a rifle scope, but for off-hand shooting I use a 2x pistol scope and a single point sling that goes across my back and aids in a steady-ish hold.

I only use my Charger with a bipod so I mounted a Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x 44 AO using Warne Maxima Quick Detach rings (medium). Work great for me and my old eyes.

I had a smaller scope on it (Clearidge Ultra RM 3-9x) but didn't like the eye relief with how I wanted to hold the Charger at all so I put that back on one of my 10/22 takedowns that has an adjustable stock.

I just sold my Charger but swapped back and forth between a 45mm red dot and a Simmons 2x6 pistol scope. Liked the red dot for plinking and squirrels, and scope for prairie doggin and target shooting.

Red Dot seems to work well for me.
