Stopped by my LGS since I heard they had some .22 ammo on sale and found a nice surprise....
they had the .22 LR Quiets in stock.
Been looking for these for a while and at 4.99 per 50 not a bad deal and great for my casual
Sunday afternoon can plinking off the porch!

I bought a box of those rounds, too. I haven't had the chance to shoot one yet but I am curious as to how quiet they actually are!

Out of a rifle they're barely louder than CCI's CB Longs. If you don't know how quiet that is, you don't need hearing protection if shot from a rifle.

Mus408, I'm glad you found them. Several months ago I bought 500 of the lead and 500 of the segmented Quiets. It's good stuff within the range they're meant for.

I love shooting these out of my 22lr revolvers. As quiet as can be. I grab some anytime I see them. Basspro is usually where I get them from at 3.99 a box reg price.

I've seen a rat at the bird-feeder in the backyard I would like to try some on.

Bushy tail rat or regular rat? What's stopping you from taking a shot?

Make sure you head shoot it otherwise it'll be flopping around in your neighbor's yard :)

I eye shot a scroungy bird feeder raider last week with cb shorts. shot it while standing inside my dining room, through a small crack in the sliding glass door and my mom who was on the other side of the house in the office did not even know I shot.

Robb, if she's as old and deaf as me, she couldn't have heard the Hiroshima bomb from a mile away

Shot a few out of my Heritage Arms 6 shooter and they were like a cap gun...not bad at all.
LGS also has a bunch of the CCI .22 LR CB.
