And I truly want them to succeed, but I went to Cabela's today to cash in my Club Points, before they are lost to the Bass Pro merger, to buy some ammo and pick out a Christmas present for my wife to give me. I don't know how they keep customers. And this is why I don't go there often.
Needed some domestic soft point ammo in 7.62x39. I was offered some help, so I gave him a chance. The young guy didn't understand the caliber, so I showed him how it would be printed on the box. Okay, here it is! He handed me a box of Red Army Standard. I said no, and I explained domestic is another way to say made in America. Oh here it is! He then showed me some Hornady ammo loaded with explosive varmint bullets. I told him we were getting closer, but I need soft point bullets, for deer hunting. "Okay, I'll ask if we've got some in the back". He came out some time later to say yes they do, but another employee would have to find it. Another twenty minutes, and he comes out to say they are out, and they're not ordering any more. Not bad. This only took a half hour so far.
Then I went to the binocular department. Nobody there, and nobody that could call for help, so I called the store on my cell phone to ask for some help in the binocular department. A feller showed up promptly, answered a couple questions, handed me some binoculars to look at, and disappeared to start helping others at the counter. Never came back to help me.
See ya later. :?
