Blue Angeles plane went down today in Smyrna TN. practicing for up coming air show.

Lost a Thunderbird F-16 at the Air Force Academy today too. Pilot ejected safely, waiting on news of the Blues pilot.

Just heard update, Blues pilot died.

Watching the news here in TN. Sadly, the pilot was killed in the crash. The plane went down 2 miles from the runway on takeoff. No parachute was deployed. Maybe the pilot made sure to miss houses or apartments??

Prayers going up for the family and the team members from here in TN.

Pilot was identified as Capt. Jeff Kuss . He was married with two small children. This is very sad.

Hard to imagine...

But then we've just had one Massachusetts town cop gunned down in a traffic stop. Shot in the back...

How about both?

Sad for the pilot (actually both, the Navy and Air Force pilots), as their job is dangerous on the best of days, and there was no malice involved in their deaths. Angry for the police officer, because that was purely an act of evil. Either way, prayers go out for all their families.
