As it turns out, the gun in question has the expected XR3-RED grip frame, not a "smaller" one. No difference. There were fitting issues with the grip panels and the owner resolved those. Don't need your help because I read the entire thread. Hope you understand. ;)

As a new guy to this forum, when did Ruger new model blackhawks become so hard to find (and pricy too)? I've been looking for a 4.5" 45 LC blued and my FFL's are telling me their distributors have none in stock.

You will be looking a long time for a 4.5” one. You will have better luck looking for a 4-5/8” since that’s what they make
