One of the local pawnshops has a 61/2" Blackhawk in .357 for sale at around $300. It is also an Anniversay gun, but pretty beat up and lock-up is not all that great. I've seen worse, but given the other conditions wondering if this is a bit high for a shooter.

If an Anniversary flattop, snatch it up. Those things are fixable. Unless you're looking for pristine or even very clean (not at $300 and you're acknowledging looking for/at a "shooter" anyway), fix whatever mechnicals don't please you and live with the cosmetics 'til you're comfortable in messing with. My .02.
