Blackhawk .30 Carbine loads wanted

Hi all, I'm looking for recommended loads for my Ruger Blackhawk .30 Carbine. It has the 7.5" barrel of course. Carbine ammo loaded for rifle length barrel have a ferocious bark in this revolver! I'd like some loads more appropiate to this barrel length but stout enough for 100 yard target shooting.

Interesting question. Do you have a powder in mind? Maybe Universal or Unique or Blue Dot or Acurate#9?

Try 6.0 of HS6 with a 100 - 110 grain slug. It should put you right around 1,000 fps.

I have used 32-20 data with comparable weight .308 dia. lead bullets with great success.

I often use 5.0 gr Unique with 115 gr LRN for an easy and fun to shoot load that gets to about 975fps. Easy on the ears and enough to be OK at 100 yd milk jug.
