Black checkered grips

I have 3 sets of these grips that I tried to sell/give away a few times and quickly tired of fooling around with them. Tossed a pair aside and they wound up setting next to a small stack of my Indian head pennies. An idea popped into my head, can a man have too many set-arounds, as my Mom called them, in his cave/gun room, why no we can't. Little shadow box framing....

I take those style grips and carefully refit them , put a notch at the top ,front edge and slightly elongate the locating pin hole and they will fit old model XR-3 frames, come in handy when you cannot find any old model grips,,,,but the shadow box is cool too 8) :roll: :wink:
